Rise: In Conversation with Inga Ruehl

Yesterday, Sky Sports' Executive Director of Production Services & Operations, Inga Ruehl took part in a live webinar with Rise, the award-winning global advocacy membership organisation supporting gender diversity across the media technology sector.

During the 45-minute session, Inga sat down with Charlotte Wheeler, Rise Advisory Group member, to discuss her current role and career journey until now, and how Sky Sports & SPS are addressing sustainability and diversity, equality and inclusion.

Discussing the technological advancements made in Sky Sports & SPS operations to make it easier to manage and deliver content to the audience, Inga said: "Remote production is clearly the one that's made the biggest change, especially in Sports. We've been on that journey for 5-6 years already, and we started delivering all of our EFL football, including the match coverage, remotely before COVID. This really helped us as it meant that we'd already ironed out a lot of the workflow issues, technology, skillset and the way people operated, which changed as we became more of a live production hub at Osterley.".
