Our expert studio management and craft teams can guide your vision through from storyboard to shoot, or send your feeds global with minimal latency. And it’s all powered by 100% renewable green energy on our beautiful Osterley campus.

Cameras

Our highly-skilled and experienced Camera team work across different roles on a wide range of genres, both in our Studio facilities and on location at various types and size of events. Aside from our usual camera ped, handheld, and robotic operations, we also provide specialist camera services for our clients, these include Steadicam, Jib, and PSC.

Floor Management

Our talented team of FMs work across a multitude of events from our core work in Studios at Sky to out on location at events such as 'Portrait Artist of the Year', Formula One, Cricket, and Football. We also provide a service to various Corporate events, flexing and adapting our skills to suit the requirements.

Graphics

Our Graphics team provides operators across the range of content Sky produces, from Sport and News to Entertainment. We are able to offer presentation and in-game graphics on a multitude of sports, all primarily using Viz and Chyron graphics solutions. We also provide a cloud-based solution using the Hyper Graphics application to work with our colleagues in other areas on virtual productions.

Lighting

Whether it’s the day to day maintenance of our grids and equipment, or rigging and delivering large scale productions, our team of Electricians and Lighting Directors are both at home within our studios and out on location. The team is qualified to the current regulations within BS7909 and are experts in lighting console systems and operations.

Make Up

Our team of diverse hair and make-up artists work across our many internal clients including Sky News and Sky Sports News and also have experience working on contemporary to period productions such as 'Call the Midwife' to 'Landscape Artist Of The Year'. We are able to offer a professional service to your production and use the power of hair and make-up to deliver your creative vision.

Multi Skilled Operators

The Multi-Skilled Operator team in SPS are predominately based in Sky Sports News HQ. Our multi-functional team is skilled across three crafts and is responsible for delivering all our studio floor-based requirements in this facility, including controlling and framing our robotic camera system (Shotoku) live to air, operating the lighting console position, and floor managing the main presentation areas.

Scenery

From storage through to setting, rigging and maintaining all of our sets, the in house Scenery team in SPS are fully equipped to cover all aspects of Studio and on location scenic operations across many genres. If you can dream it, scenery can build it.

Sound

Our Sound control rooms are capable of delivering audio in 5.1 surround and 5.1.4 immersive audio with a fully networked Calrec audio system, enhanced by an integrated Riedel intercoms system. Our highly skilled experienced team delivers across a multitude of workflows from large remote productions down to single PSC shoots.

Working across productions that range from large scale multi-feed remote productions, multi-camera entertainment shows, virtual production systems down to enhanced viewing coverage, our experienced Technical team guarantees all functions are met and we have the technology in place to back up the amazing work of our creative content making partners.

Vision Mixing

Our Vision Mixing Team here at SPS is an excellent group of experienced VMs whose role is to collaborate with the director to choose which feeds, cameras, VTs, graphics, etc. to transmit to on-air and how those feeds are layered. VMs cut from shot to shot, choosing the precise sequence of images to be transmitted or recorded.
