What does the Camera team do?
Working at Sky Sports as a member of the Camera Department means you are using a variety of cameras such as Steadicam, Jimmy Jib, handheld and pedestals, with work being split between the studio, outside broadcasts and PSC locations.
The job is exciting and creative, operating across a huge variety of content. Working with other crafts in Sky Sports adds to the team ethos, as we deliver exceptional programming to our clients, efficiently and effectively.
What does a Cameraperson do?
- Operate cameras in a variety of configurations, on recorded and live programming, with a thorough understanding of the craft, theory and terminology of multi-camera set-up
- Rig and de-rig camera kit, carrying out routine maintenance and first-line fault finding on all camera and associated equipment
- Strive for high levels of delivery, best practice and Sky behaviours in all operational work
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with production clients, all other studio crafts and other Sky Employees
- Conduct good occupational health practices and general wellbeing at work by following Sky’s Health & Safety policies and procedures

At Sky Production Studios, Camerapeople can expect to work across our entire live sports portfolio including F1, Football, Darts, Golf, NFL and more, plus our Entertainment content including Portrait and Landscape Artist of the Year.
